About the Ford Mustang Convertible
There is no better way to drive the Coast Highway than with the roof folded and the Pacific on your left. The Mustang's power top drops in about nine seconds at a red light, and the EcoBoost engine has plenty of pull for the climb up Torrey Pines grade.
Seating is realistic for two adults plus two small passengers or day bags. Trunk space shrinks with the top down, so pack soft bags. We include a free microfiber sun cover for the seats on every convertible rental from May to October.

Drivers must be 25 or older to rent a convertible or any Luxury class vehicle.
It rarely does, but the top closes in about nine seconds and seals fully. The car is as dry as any coupe with the roof up.
